1. No Scars on the Breast
Unlike other methods of breast augmentation that leave scars along the edge of the areola or the fold beneath the breast, transaxillary augmentation avoids any visible scar on the breast.
2. Approximately 2-Inch Incision in the Armpit
By making an incision placed in a natural crease high in the armpit, Dr. Shuster limits the length of the incision to approximately 2 inches. This results in no obvious scarring or indication that surgery was performed. Read more >

Through a small incision in the armpit, Dr. Shuster creates a space under the pectoralis major muscle for the implant. His expertise in this sub-muscular method allows for direct access to the implant location – whether silicone or saline – without the need to cut through muscle or the breast itself. Read more >

Dr. Shuster regularly places both silicone gel and saline implants using the transaxillary method (through the armpit). While there are misconceptions regarding silicone implants and the transaxillary method, Dr. Shuster specializes in this method and performs the majority of his procedures using silicone breast implants. The transaxillary approach is no more or less painful than any other method. Creating space under the muscle (the sub-muscular method) during any method of breast augmentation results in discomfort. Dr. Shuster has designed his office and chosen his staff to provide his patients with the greatest level of comfort, safety, and expertise. The office provides a balance of warmth and luxury for visitors to feel welcome and at ease. His team is caring, engaged and extremely knowledgeable in all areas related to breast augmentation. They take their time with each patient on a very individualized basis.

Our goal is to make your experience with Dr. Shuster comfortable and easy. If you are traveling to meet with Dr. Shuster for a consultation, or for surgery, and need information on hotels in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area, or need driving directions to the office, please contact us.
Arranging your Plastic Surgery Procedures in the U.S.A.
Following your consultation with Dr. Shuster, you will receive detailed instructions for both preoperative and postoperative procedures. In addition, our office can help you make arrangements while you are in Florida.
Before you arrive for your cosmetic surgical procedures, our staff will contact you to discuss your instructions as well as your local arrangements. At this time, options for your recovery after your surgery will be discussed, including the option for private nurses should you wish.
If you are traveling to America to have a procedure with Dr. Shuster, he prefers that you arrive at least two days before surgery. This will give you time to meet Dr. Shuster personally and make all pre- and post-surgical arrangements with his staff. He also asks that you be prepared to stay in South Florida while you recover. Although recovery time will vary, most patients will be able to travel one week after surgery.
